Knew it would be bad today - but it's worse than I expected. As a carbaholic I should know better than think I can eat just one.

Dear Buddy, I would like nothing better than to congratulate you on a superb effort. Sadly I am unable to do so and posting this may well risk a telling off from other members. I honestly feel you are not really serious about losing weight, you may well think you are but the evidence shows no improvement at all since January. You do seem to believe that “tomorrow is another day” but while I agree that tomorrow is another day what you failed on yesterday cannot be recovered today or tomorrow, it is lost and lost for ever. You cannot catch up or recover because if you can lose an extra pound today then you could have lost an extra pound yesterday to make a loss of two pounds. I believe you now need to take a good look at how you are approaching this weight loss, then make a plan, record all you want to eat BEFORE you eat it so you know how many calories you are going to take on board. You also need to understand that losing weight involves sacrifice and will power dedication and a strong will to win. I know you have a disability but so do I. I have one lung, one kidney, half an aorta and permanent vertigo or dizziness caused by a blockage in the brain but I have managed to ditch 28 lbs since I re-joined at the same time as you did. Other people are achieving similar results but you are static but keep telling us a sob story or blaming something or other. I so desperately want to see you lose that weight you say you want to but somehow I think it just will not happen.

Thank you IWW. I think you're right. I went out - excuse to eat carbs - I got a cold - excuse to comfort eat (carbs). I am struggling to get my mojo back. I had already given myself a talking to this morning and your comment helps. In the last 2 weeks I've messed up my blood-sugar to the state where I'm back on the tablets and I know that I've let myself down. Promise to myself - I am back on the correct WOE.

I'm so pleased you've taken IWW's comment as intended, not for the harshness it sounds like. You've also given yourself that talking to by the sounds of it. Sorry to hear you're back on medication but you've proved to yourself you can succeed by your past results and it's time, with our support, to do it again. Back on the horse and fight the temptations and comfort eating. All the best, Minitata - you can do this!

I take you promise as it is intended with good faith and an honest attempt to do well. We can only encourage you to do better we can in no way at all make you do it but once you sort yourself out you will get the support you so desperately need I will now support you by checking on you every day and sending you a private message content as required. Nobody said this is easy anyone who thinks it is is only kidding themselves nobody else. I hope now you will record all you are intending to eat BEFORE you eat it so you will know and understand how many calories you are putting in your mouth. Good luck, chin up, deep breath and off we go. !!!!
