I can relate! I have been trying to do the same but find I need to start really measuring everything carefully and drink much more water than I do. Good luck!

Eat less as possible and try to work out at least 5 times a week if it's just walking a few miles and drink plenty of water.. I wish you the best

You might want to try low carb high fat and see if that works I'm way over 50 and its best for me if I stick with it. It's kinda like Atkins. It's hard to give up grains though. Just a thought.

I think you may be in a phase where you are exchanging fat for water and muscle. Stick with it! The weight will start to come down. I agree with the others, add a lunchtime walk on the days you can't work out. It will make a big difference.

I agree with Mistybenner. I am over 50 and when I seem to come to a stand still I up my calories for a day or two and then drop them back down.
