Day three meat/egg fast results: Down another fraction. Really thought this would be going better, but then again, I am not doing it exactly as outlined. Probably not eating enough eggs and real meat. Too much sodium still I am sure. In full blown ketosis though and definitely feeling some keto flu the last couple days. Lethargic and kinda nauseated off and on. That just shows how far off the wagon I had fallen. Staying the course though. Not working the second job again until Monday, so I will be doing better as far as my food choices. Working at a gas station where the only options are really hot dogs, slim jims, and string cheese is not great.

Hi Sierra, may ask you why you drink Pepsi or sodas in general. Isn't a bottle of still water better? I took these processed drinks out of my life when I started my new life one year from now. This is my personal thought of course but as much as I can I try not to drink or eat processed food. Preferring instead food made by myself. Thanks Max

Regular water would definitely be the better choice. However, I have never liked water. Even as a child I could never choke it down plain. As an adult, I developed a raging addiction to Mountain Dew. I would regularly drink the equivalent of a 2-liter of the stuff (or more) a day. Propel water has been my saving grace in kicking that decades long habit. I try to eat clean for the most part, but I figure that I have given up all my other vices: regular pop (soda), alcohol, cigarettes, sugar, potatoes, bread, pasta, etc. that I feel I am okay with keeping one. I do still have an addiction to caffeine ;) and drinking a diet cherry pepsi keeps the sweet tooth satisfied as well. I admire anyone who can drink nothing but plain water. I, however, do not have that in me.

I got it :) I have a sweet tooth as well and trust me I am eager IF/when I start but I replaced sweets with fruit. And because since the first moment I have combined diet and working out, I need to eat much more than before BUT clean. So, much more protein and less carbs. Thank you for answering Max

oh and BTW I searched Mountain Dew on Google because we don't have it in Italy. Looks like what we call Sprite http://pngimg.com/upload/sprite_PNG8921.png

and I am addicted to caffeine with no intention to quit LOL. The only problem with sodas is that they have sugar (or other stuff when are sugar-free) and gas. Personally I don't like how they make me feel after drinking them. Maybe one day I'll come and make you some Spaghetti without added fats. Just Spaghetti and tomato sauce... and a bit of real Parmesan. Deal? ;)

please take a look at this video taken by one of my trainers. Here he speaks just about diet not about working out. I love this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CHmorGmjmg&t=28s And then please let me know...

Fruit would be wonderful for that. I love a good smoothie and I do miss bananas something fierce, so when I do have a cheat day I almost always eat one. LOL Unfortunately, most fruit is off limits in LCHF and the ones that are allowed are still high enough that I don't eat them much. I have also acquired a sensitivity to most of the allowed berries. I can no longer eat raspberries for example. Perhaps when I get to goal and therefore move into maintenance phase, I will be able to indulge more in fruit.

We have Sprite as well, but Mountain Dew is worse I am afraid. It has the most caffeine of any sodas sold in the US other than maybe a couple of specialized ones. Not to mention the high amount of high fructose corn syrup which is probably in the top ten reasons we have such a high obesity rate in this country.

LOL...I will have to pass on the spaghetti I am afraid. A choice cut steak cooked medium with some steamed veggies and a small salad is more my cup of tea.

Sierra, as you may have guessed I am a guy who never gives up... just think about the language we are using right now. You have been raised with English and maybe you give it for granted. I decided 3 years ago I wanted to speak it. I wanted, I got it! I did not waited for tomorrow I did it that day. I feel you did it the same thing with your life. That's why I am glad to speak with you. I think you have the gut and you are effectively changing your life. I changed my job and now I work using English and I speak it all day long, even my son (he is 7) speaks and gets English. Am I perfect? of course not But as well as in every other aspect of my life I am still working on it :)

"Not to mention the high amount of high fructose corn syrup which is probably in the top ten reasons we have such a high obesity rate in this country. " I just don't buy this stuff. Or if someone at home does I put in the back row in the fridge. Front row - healthy food What I don't see I don't crave
