Rain Rain Go Away!

It's raining and forecast to continue for the entire week. I went out yesterday and stocked up for the week as driving in LA in the rain is like driving in New Dehli-no offense to my Indian friends.

Really getting down with the gluten free eating-although it's kicking up my carb count as I am driven to buy every "guten-free" pasta, pretzel, bread, cereal, etc. Therefore, I ate pasta twice last week-once a surprisingly good brown rice version from Trader Joe's and last night-a terrific but expensive quinoa/corn combo-I thought it was delicious. This am had rice bread-too dense and meh. The beast enjoyed it though...

Walked and ran a bit yesterday before the rain began-AND lunges are back-ouch! Did crunches, push-ups and sit-ups this morning, and feel I am back on track with those.

Went to a golden globes party Saturday and felt okay with how I looked but being around teensy tiny actresses-hello Eva Langoria and January Jones can do a number on my mind. I know I will never be that small-my bones are bigger than both of them put together BUT I do want to lose the fat and be as trim as possible. Siboory-is that her name? who plays Precious was there and it was bitter sweet. She was terrific in that role but doubt we will see her again. On another note-John Hamm is just as sexy as Don Draper and Robert De Niro is still hot.....okaythat's all my name dropping until the Oscars.

Ran into my old boss who just got a big job and am hoping it means more business for me-that's why I went to the party-hoping he would be there. It was so nice to see him! He is a mentor to me and the most caring person. I miss him.

Have to go back to the gym-have not been in months and months and still have my membership. I need a kick in the arse FS friends!

Consider yourself kicked! Woman... stop waisting money, we are in a crisis here! Well I guess you are doing the gym a favor, but wth are they doing for you!?!?!?! And dang! Standing in a room filled w/ those names and more.. oi vey! Wow. I just stocked up on my quinoa, I have to get it out of town :( but I got it now. Good food and those lunges otta get you to where you are going, keep it up :)

I sit with my mom and watch ET before Wheel of Forture comes on sometimes (I know laugh) and really interesting how you see these post award parties as a way to get the next job, not necessarily star watching. Thanks for giving us a peak into your world and good luck.

Rain?! In sunny California?! OMG......I cannot BELIEVE IT!! ... The sky is falling! LOL Great job with the exercise....how bout sending some of those exercise vibes my way! :-) How cool is that to hobnob with the Stars! I'm living vicariously through you Girlfriend! Good luck getting that job from the old boss. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Now get to the gym and kick some ARSE!!! ((((HUGS))))
