Just restarted my diet as of 1/1/12-Got new scales and they had a different weight than when I just signed up for the program. So I'm beginning with 5 more pounds. I figure the hardest part will be in the first week or so and interrupting my pattern of having my first glass of wine with the Barefoot Contessa cooking showing in the afternoon. Also am realizing that my drinking was really tied to feeling frustrated with my relationship and I either had to cope with it and find new ways of keeping it interesting and enjoyable or numb out the frustration with wine. (Had been a scotch drinker, but after a bout of pancreatitis in '92, my doc said-no more hard stuff. So I took the easy way out and changed to Chards, but didn't do the hard work of changing the relationship. Now with a decade plus, I've goten smarter (and hopefully wiser and realize that I've got a pretty incredible relationship in spite of its downside(s)-so taking a step back from the bad coping behavior may not be as bad as I imagine).
170.5 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 17.5 lb.    Diet followed N/A.
