I did 20 flights of stairs, 68 steps each, 1360 total stairs, 680 up and 680 down and 3047 steps total according to my pedometer. It is warm and I actually worked up a bit of a sweat. I forgot that I could use my phone to track the activity better and log the more accurate calories burned. Next time....

Thanks for the support. I could feel the old knee a little towards the end of my walkabout, but it wasn't too bad. I had an appointment with my orthopaedic doctor yesterday. Right shoulder, left elbow, left knee give me pain periodically. He says, "Well Poul, you're getting old." Yeah, no $h!t, thanks doc... I just want to know what to do about it. He re-prescribed some anti-inflamatories for me to take as needed. I'm back in buisness for the long haul.

LOL....Sometimes doctors tell you things that are obvious. Your body will tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing. Great job!

Wow! You're amazing!! You've inspired me to take another look at the long staircase up to my apartment -- so far I've only managed 6 flights at a time carrying groceries but there's no reason not to push for more :)

Nice climb Poul...as we get older managing injuries becomes a constant battle. Thank goodness for anti-inflammatories, Advil or Alleve are a necessity for me to keep my knee and shoulder from running amuck.

If you're interested, I can offer some great pre-workout ideas to enhance stamina as well as body conditioning/maintenance in order to minimize inflammation and the prospect of injury :)
