PoulC's Journal, 07 December 2016

I ran out of daylight before I was able to get a bike ride in today. This afternoon I was letting the foster dogs out and was having so much fun. I thought I had about 45 minutes to go for a ride and then I saw a brown nose sticking out where I didn't expect one. I forgot Judy saved a new dog last night... another 20 minutes of playtime... Oh well. I logged many steps walking hither and yon lugging a bucket and shovel to gathering up the many doggie poops. Now that is some serious exercise!

I finally ran out of portabella mushrooms today. Those veggie stacks are soooooooooo good. I almost went out and bought more today and then I realized I need to eat some other things...

The jury is still out whether increasing carbs was adequately offset by increasing activity. I feel like I have less fat, but who knows. Today I had some gastric distress, so I didn't venture far from home for quite a few hours. Perhaps tomorrow will be a good weigh in.

Diving tomorrow while the rest of the county is feeling the effects of polar inversion. I feel slightly guilty to be so fortunate... Have a great day all!

You're doing great! It is good that you recognize the need for variety even with healthy stuff. When I was on weight watchers we did an this exercise where we had a journal that everyone kept for a week. We took turns logging so we could see other people's habits. I noticed the successful ones had variety throughout the day. The gainers would eat the same things over and over again. Variety is the spice of life! Hope your gastric distress feels better soon!
