If you reduce your food consumption your body reduces its energy output (metabolism). Eat the correct amount of food and your body will reward you

What has worked for me is to weigh/measure everything and log it. I am LCHF and also do Intermittent Fasting. Sugar is my enemy...

What Rckc said said, weigh and log everything. When I started my idea of 4 ounces of meat and what 4 ounces of meat actually is were two completely different things.

In order to lose weight, I need to log my foods, drink no alcohol or sweet (even diet) drinks, and need to exercise regularly. Regular meditation helps keep the anxiety down. This Thanksgiving is the first one I can remember where I didn't overstuff myself. It is also the first one where I didn't drink alcohol. I only gained a little water weight rather than the usual 4 or 5 pounds. :)

Give it time and a consistent diet and work.

Try making lunch your "main" meal for the day (still include breakfast and snacks). Reason for this is so you can eat less at nighttime (and try not to eat after 19:00). You can even replace your dinner with a meal replacement shake. It really works. I started with that, and then went off course for a while, and then started again this week and already lost 1.5kg from monday.

Excellent tips Metamora! I don't drink alcohol or sweet drinks either. I think of those things as having "useless" calories.

Love these tips! You are probably on the right track Elenor, so don't get discouraged. I've had many plateaus over the years too. Even though you're exercising, try to get your heart rate up each day by doing what you enjoy. Increasing your water intake is beneficial. If milk, diet pops, and cheese are in your diet cut those out for a week, or month. The Mediterranean diet pyramid is a good one for getting back into the burn zone. Hope you're getting enough sleep too.
