Surprisingly, I have been able to lose another few pounds. But it has been hard! It felt as if I was starving myself sometimes, and my stomach cramped and grumbled. But that is under the 190lbs.
189.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 49.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Well done. And your stomach will learn not to grumble if you carry on with it. The thing is to find a level of eating where you don't feel hungry long-term, but you can lose weight. For me now, that is around 1200 calories, but because you are heavier, you could start in the 1400-1500 range if you need to. And that can be averaged out over a week if you want, so if you overeat one day, say due to a social event, or just because you fancy it, you can then cut back a little lower on the other days. So it doesn't mean you can't have a good time - just, you can't do it every day!

Thank you both for the support. It is much needed. And Heidi, you are on the nail with my calories. I have been sticking to 1500 per day, but as I am still getting used to eating 'normal' amounts of food at meal times, and not just piling my plate high as often as I want day or night, the smaller details have been forgotten. So thank you for reminding me of calorie trade in's. It will be helpful going forward to remember my tummy will give up grumbling and I can negotiate with my weekly calories!
