Thanks :-) my final weigh-out is coming up super quick on the Healthy Wage site and I still have about 7 pounds to lose by August 7th. I am a nervous wreck. I desperately want that money, lol! So I've been ultra focused last week, this week, and will be this coming week also.

Great drop!! Note, if you still need to lose a few pounds to win on your Aug 7 weigh in... google "boxers making weight", MMA fighters can lose up to 20 pounds from their current weight for their pre-fight weigh in a five day span. There is even a description on how to do it on one site. This IS NOT diet advice, just a way to make a weight for a short term purpose...good luck!!

Interestingly enough, I am super familiar with this (big MMA fan) and the whole concept of water manipulation and "bigger, smaller, bigger" and did this last month to cut weight to get my weight loss moving again, was able to drop about 10 in a week. But, it made me feel pretty awful and there are different approaches to achieving a similar loss without having to take in MASSIVE ridiculous amounts of water. The water straight up made me sick. The food's alright, no complaints here about chomping steaks and lean meat, but dear god...the water...oddly enough, I followed this to the letter, all the weight I lost was within the first 2 days. You're supposed to really see results at the end of the week when you stop drinking the water, mine was the opposite. I lost 10 pounds the first 2 days, nothing beyond that. 10 pounds was a good loss, this approach is specifically for wrestlers, fighters etc...so, a normal person doing it isn't going to see results that a trained professional would, and the more often you do it, the better your results, which is why they are able to cut massive amounts of weight. That weight is meant to be immediately put back on, plus some, within a 24 hour period. Not like me, who had to keep it OFF (which, despite what people think, even though yes, I'm sure the weight I lost was indeed water weight, it stayed off because I continued a super controlled diet.) I should write my own blog about that experience, lol!!! Thank you for writing me :-)

Very detailed follow up Bebe...as you stated the goal is to make a certain weight for a short period of time, then quickly (within 24 hours) gain it back so their health and performance doesn't suffer...certainly not a lifestyle or long term solution to weight (fat) loss. Hope you win your wager!!

It definitely does work, but it takes some serious "mind over matter,"...of course, it seems everything I'm doing right now is some serious "mind over matter..." like right now, I'm cycling the first 2 days of the GM plan (also known as the Sacred Heart plan or the Cabbage Soup plan,) I do it for two days, break, then repeat it. The problem is...I'm just simply not a fruits and vegetables eater. At all. But it works, my body really responds to it and you can eat unlimited quantities. But oh man, I look forward to the break days when I can eat steak and chicken and stuff. I don't bother completing the rest of the week (according to the plan) because I always find the majority of the weight is lost within those first two days, the rest of the week is sort of a tortuous wash-out. I sure as hell ain't going back to eating that horrific cabbage soup, lol!
