Good morning, FS buddies! The 'dog days' of summer are truly upon us. One of the unforeseen bonuses of this Keto lifestyle is that I'm able to tolerate the heat and humidity better than ever before. Metabolic changes are afoot, and I'm liking it! I had another great workout in the neighbors' pool yesterday, and did some new core exercises that I dubbed, "poolates", like Pilates. I was curious, so I googled poolates, and sure enough, it's a thing! LOL! I watched a couple of videos, and got some cool new ideas.
Although I make my living primarily as a hairstylist, another hat I wear is as a Minister. I have the honor next month of performing a wedding for a couple of dear friends. They have been together for 13 years, have bought a home, and have 2 gorgeous sons. I've known them since they first started dating, so this is a real thrill. They are not religious, so they want a ceremony that is simple, but secular. I spent most of the day yesterday writing the ceremony, and I'm very happy with how it came out. Now all I have to do is rehearse it long enough so I can get through it without crying! I'm such a mush at weddings...I even cry at tv and movie weddings! The wedding will be a very small affair on the beach at Tybee Island, GA. It will be early in the morning, before the crowds and heat get bad. I will stay the night before with another couple I married a few years ago. It's like a family reunion for me. Today is all about running errands for me. Printer cartridges, returning a sweater, getting a pool 'noodle'for some of the poolates exercises, and a trip to the International Supermarket for some fresh turmeric and other goodies. Have a wonderful Saturday!
