I may have influenced two new converts. I got a call from my sister-in-law, last night, and she informed me that, along with my brother, she was going to be starting the Atkins Diet soon; like today. I told her the first thing she needs to do is go to the Atkins website, begin taking the lessons, and get educated about it. However, she's excited about getting started, and wants to lose twenty pounds between now and Thanksgiving, and another ten by Christmas. I told her it's possible, but she needs to, once again, get educated about it so she knows what she's doing. She knows that I've lost more than 30 pounds, so far, and wants to do the same, but then go back to eating the way she's been eating before Atkins. I tried to let her know, that it's a lifestyle, not a quick fix, but everyone has to learn for themselves, what happens when you approach it in that fashion. I guess, if nothing else, she'll gain a better understanding of why I'm eating the way I am, and there is sure to be more Atkins friendly food, at their house, when I go over there for Thanksgiving. :-)
