So much for being "on track" for three days. Engaged in a snack-a-rama last night that might be better described as a "binge." Oh well. Life goes on. Today is a new day. I did Pilates and my elliptical this morning as I woke up early. Wasn't feeling well last night and still not up to par this morning. Maybe that's why I snacked so much ... trying to "feel better." Old habit. Not much on my schedule today so I may take some "sick" time and go home early.

It is COLD here. Like 12 degrees this morning!! Still not much snow to speak of. There is snow at the higher elevations but not at my place or in town, which is okay with me for now. I have a coffee meeting today at 10, that makes three for this week. Starbucks here I come ... again. I avoid their treats and go for regular coffee or a skinny caramel latte ... which is only 90 calories so no worries there.

I see that many of us are "struggling" with snacking and funkiness lately. The good news is that eventually this will pass for all of us. For me? I just need to remember how far I have come, that I will never be "done" and that's okay, and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Y'all take care of yourselves and I'll do my best to do the same!!

Five for today ...

1. Eating Right Potato Crisps: tasty, low in fat, decent serving size, several flavors
2. my son won an all expense paid trip, including paid work time to Denver for rinkside seats to a hockey game through his employer ... he's so excited
3. my buddies, my buddies, my buddies here on fatsecret (I know I've used this one before but it is just soooo true ... your support is just priceless to me!)
4. reconnecting with a former colleague today, talking to her about where I used to work ... confirmed to me that I made a very wise career decision 3 1/2 years ago!!
5. Starbuck's Skinny Lattes!!!

You must be feeling below par today as there is no '5'. Old habits creep in so sneakily don't they, but we're getting much better at recognising them. Its cold here too only 4 degrees first thing this morning and yes, we've got snow on the high spots too - if only I could see it through the mists. I remember how far I've come every day when I dress and have to remind myself that I still have quite a way to go on my journey and will always have to be 'aware'. I think we all find it difficult at this time of the year with so many goodies around and so much to do.Unconscious snacking to make yourself feel better is one of those old habits creeping in. Keep smiling

I hope you are feeling better very soon! It is awful when you are just not up to par. {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}

You really have such a positive attitude and that is a wonderful gift. You are right, we all go thru the same issues but we are all here for each other, to give support and root each other on. You do a great job at doing that for everyone. It's hard to take our own advice when we feel funky, but you have wonderful advice and I look forward to reading it everyday. Your Funk will pass, they all do. Smile, it will make you feel better : )

You're an inspiration - I'm really trying to cultivate the positive attitude and "bounce back" that you've got going...it's so easy to end up in a huge backslide when we have a little snackfest but, as you said, "Today is a new day." I think you should embrace the funk and make yourself giggle at the same time...play some "funky music" - of the funk variety or with the word "funky" in it and dance like a nut in your house. : )

Life happens both with going off our healthy eating preferences and not feeling well. You will bounce right back on both fronts. Take are of you and get to feeling better. ((hugs))

Cindy ... Eating Right is a Safeway brand!! They have potato chips and potato crisps (kind of like a rice cake but smaller) in several flavors that are about 110 calories a serving and low fat and best of all very tasty!!!
