Johanne's Journal, 17 October 2011

It's Monday. My coffee is consumed. I've got a good start on the house. I'm taking a break. The event on Saturday was really fun. We didn't have a lot of people because there was an event opposite ours that the King and Queen attended. The people that did show up though were some of my favorites, so all in all, a successful day. Baroness Caitlin and I didn't stay for feast because there was almost nothing in it I could eat, between the gluten and the onions. I heard it was fantastic. I did my grocery shopping on the way home and suddenly had an attack of really bad vertigo as I left the store. I was a little afraid to drive the rest of the way home. Then, in the middle of the night, I had one of my low blood pressure incidents, which always scares me silly. Needless to say, between working at the mystery event (by the way, the mother did it . . . LOL), the vertigo and low blood pressure, I was kind of wiped yesterday. I slept a lot. I did go to my son's yesterday evening for dinner and a movie. That was fun. We watched the new Transformers movie. Today I seem to be back on track, if a little tireder than usual. Everyone have a great day. I'm sending out group hugs.

I have severe vertigo problems myself. I know how bad that makes you feel. Add low blood pressure on top of it, I am amazed you were able to get out of bed!! At least it went away. Take care :)

Bren, thanks for the hug. Yes, I did have fun and got lots of real (vs virtual) hugs.

E, the worst of it, other than the low blood pressure scare, was the bed rocking and rolling once I laid down. It felt like it was going to pitch me out on the floor. Can we say, "Sea sick?" LOL! (Anyone who has ever had a bad bout of vertigo will know what I mean.)

I sure do... A couple of years ago I could not open my eyes for almost 2 weeks. Could not walk by myself or get up off the floor. The Dr has said it is the worst case she has ever seen. if a person has never experienced it - they have no clue. I still have it daily and sometimes am afraid to drive. it is not something they have been able to diagnose or help... I just have to use mind over matter to get through the days. Sometimes, that is not easy. So Yes - we can say Sea Sick :)

Good heavens! Thankfully, mine doesn't ever last more than a few days and can usually be traced to an inner ear infection. I have no idea what caused Saturday's event. My ears are fine. I can't even imagine (well, yes I can and it is horrifying) dealing with it everyday. I have great empathy and wish I could help. Hugs!!!
