I weighed my clothes tonight on the scale at work to see how much differense there is between it and the scale at home. I weigh in at work fully dressed and at home in the buff. The clothes weight is 4.85 lb.

Interesting. Including shoes or work boots or safety shoes?

4 to 5 pounds attributed to underwear, polo shirt, trousers, belt, socks, and hard-sole loafer-type shoes. I've done this experiment many times. I just wish the nurse/tech would deduct those 5 pounds when I see my family doctor; because no matter what I weigh, he says I need to drop another 5 pounds.

I started my weight loss while at work. ( I work international and am here for a rotational schedule) I have always wondered what the difference between the scales at work and at home are. I had thought it was around 5 pounds and now i know. It just more or less confirms my scales at home are measuring the same. that's why once every two months my weight suddenly jumps up five pounds when I list my weigh in on here. Sarah, That is with tennis shoes. on. The same clothing with my work boots is around 14 lbs.

Ceser, I saw my doctor in August last year and he told me I needed bariatric surgery. Iwas 345 lbs then. That kinda ticked me offf and so after researching I found I would have to totally change my diet and lifestyle for the surgery to be effective so I decided what the hell. If I have to change anyway why not just skip the surgery. When i saw him next in December I had lost 45 lbs. It's about time for me to go back for another visit and now I'm down just a tad over 100 lbs. If he tells me I need to loose another 5 pounds, which I do, I think I'll choke him. :D
