Went out on a limb and got some "salsa guacamole" from my favorite local grocery store. I am not a wimp by any means when it comes to spicy foods, but MY MOUTH IS ON FIRE right now. It's very tasty and I add only a little to my chicken and rice, but my goodness this stuff is HOT and it's only on day one. I can't even imagine what the temp will be at the end of the week.

Seem to have made it past another almost diverticulitis episode without major complications. Recognizing what's happening and dumping the fiber from my diet immediately seems to be the key for me. That, along with rest and lots of fluids. It's still so strange that all these things which are generally good for you can wreak such havoc - it's counterintuitive. Crazier still is that high amounts of fiber typically ward off the condition as well. Must always listen to my body.
