scouter1220's Journal, 20 April 2016

It is really hard to stay on track in an office that provides lots of junk food and sodas to its staff. They do at least provide Coke Zero and bottled water, but the cakes, doughnuts, cookies, etc. are hard to pass up. Any suggestions. Also the high stress at my job is not helping either.

I feel your pain... one of my co-workers has a clear candy jar that is always filled to the brim with mini candy bars. Argh

I'd talk to the person in charge of all that, worth a try think of the money the company would save if they stop doing that! Lol. Just have to be an office snob, throw it all out! Lol. Spill something on all of that!

Honestly I do better when I go cold turkey. We all have those colleagues. I tell them to bring and eat whatever they want because it's not a problem. And no, do not ask me to taste anything because I will plunge straight into eating hell!!!! I don't care if it's Nana's special recipe......

I agree with Misty... at least ask them to add some healthier options (fresh fruit or mini bags of nuts). I' bet they'd be surprised at how many people would start eating up the healthy options if they were available. Doesn't hurt to ask. And if they say no, then get your own little basket on your desk and fill it with the good stuff so you can feel like you are getting (healthy) treats too. :)

Next time take only half, then the time after that take 1/4. Nobody needs a donut.

Can you bring your own healthy snacks to work?
