Note to self - remember to take butter and coconut oil portions out to warm up before putting in the container to make the bullet proof coffee...Don't want to have to clean up after making a huge mess again! :-P

I feel your pain, but sometimes I get lazy and eat the butter cold. I'm like YOLO.

I leave a stick of my butter out on the table sliced into one tbsp portions, I have a butter container that seals, I put out a new one about every 4 days. Butter does not spoil if left out at room temperature, not for a week or two anyway. My grandmother used to have me help her make butter, I was the churner. She NEVER put it in the refrigerator. She had a crystal sugar bowl with a lid, she filled it with the butter and left it on the table always.

You don't have to refrigerate butter anytime and just take the tablespoon and stir it right in! Melts right away and you can do the same with the coconut oil.
