Tonight I weigh myself and see if I'm on the right track... I'm actually scared of stepping on the scale because it's seemed to easy...

I also want to set myself some goals for the week:
1) I need to drink more water.
2) Cut down a bit on the empty calories. (AKA: The unhealthy snacking.) This will be much easier once the Halloween candies are gone.
3) Set myself some goals. I have a goal of August 2010 for my end goal weight which has me VERY excited because that's around when I go camping in the summer!! I can't even imagine how great it would be to go camping at goal weight! This may be a bit of an aggressive goal (2 lbs a week) But I'll keep it this way and adjust it along my journey if need be.

My weekend was good, I still have no eaten anywhere near my point allowance but I am not coming anywhere near starving myself! I am eating 3 meals and snacking in between. I guess cooking my own meals is making a HUGE difference.

Wish me luck with my weigh in tonight!!

Good Luck.... 2 lbs a week might be aggressive but you have to remember there will be times when you could lose more that 2 and something less that 2, I am sure it will all equal out in the end and you will get to goal. Stay focused and think of it as just 1 day at a time. A goal outfit might also help you. I put a pair of GOAL JEANS in my kitchen so I have to look at them everytime I go to get food. It really helps me eat healthier.

The goal date is definitely a good idea. I had my wedding anniversary this year as my goal date. I got very close, and almost made it, but then finally did make it a few weeks later. I think when we have a definitive date in mind, that definitely helps motivate and empower us.

We let our daughter pick out two pieces of her favorite candies for each year of age. The rest we threw out. No sense in derailing the diet... and it's not good for them anyway. Teach those good habits early!

Well I kept all the little chocolate bars because I can easily calculate the points on them (and PMS demanded I didn't throw them out) but I'm not giving any more to the girls because the candy was causing behavior problems. I kept all the chips and they are getting a little bag every few days, they don't scream for chips the way they do for candies so I'm allowing those, and the rest of the candies went to work with DH. I think if I was throwing all the candies out, it would be more demotivating then keeping the stuff I can easily calculate and fit in my points allowance so I don't feel like I will not get to eat that stuff again... But I don't want us to regularly have chocolate in the house... I just want to be able to have some and have control.. in my opinion being able to have moderation is great eating habits! Of course this whole strategy could very well change after my weight in tonight! LOL
