WHole30 Day 11

What I am learning during this journey so far is that changing your lifestyle is so much easier when you have a goal. I am almost halfway through my whole30 and did not cheat for wavier. I think there are a few things going on that are keeping me on track:

-My goal to finish the program as perfect as possible
-The fact that I am feeling amazing
-Understanding my goal with myself
-Meal planning
-Making meals I actually LIKE
-The fact I am not weighing myself during the whole program

I am a driven person. When I challenge myself to finish something, I do everything possible to finish it. I think the whole 30 being a rigid program is good for me. I like following a program to get me started.

Also what is making this easier to do is understanding my goal. This is something my trainer taught me. You need a goal. But it has to be more specific and tangiable than just "losing weight." It is so true. Losing weight is SO general and non-specific. It almost sounds unexciting. I figured out my specific goal. I was telling my coworker my goal yesterday. I was able to explain it to the point I could visualize it. It gets me excited! My goal is to be super toned, but super strong. I want to keep deadlifting like crazy and I was to see the cut lines of my muscles. I want to be able to survive 5-5min rounds of sparring MMA.

I love working out. It makes me feel amazing on a lousy day. But my goal is very specific- Lose fat- see amazing muscle tone- be strong. I can see my future self in my head. This makes me journey so much more worth it than just striving for "losing weight" Which can mean anything. So! What is your goal for yourself?

Haha!!! I would love to be the body guard. But I am a little short :P But see you have a visual goal! It is so much more motivating to work towards when you can see and almost feel it. Sometimes I visualize it so often I dream I am at my goal and I wake up like WOW I need to get working! BTW you should look up Mark Sisson. I think he is 62 years old and has a six pack- in amazing shape. He is an inspiration to me
