Sugar is naturally addictive. So wean yourself of the refined sugar and eat more fruits (still have sugar but much better and healthier source)

the only way is cold turkey. About 4 days. Start on a Friday because Saturday you will be miserable and irritable as hell. By Monday the worst is over. Lots of lemon water helps.

the sugar in the fruit just keeps you addicted. Been down that road. Before long you are right back where you started. Defeats the purpose to me.
