diehard3's Journal, 14 January 2016

I woke up hungry this morning. I skipped dinner last night then we bowled. When I got home I had a glass of water then went to bed. I really wanted a couple slices of toast, or oatmeal. Good sense won out and I had a breakfast tostada made with a Mama Lupes low carb tortilla, 2 scrambled eggs and a sausage patty chopped. I topped it all off with shredded cheese. It was very satisfying and quelled my craving for carbs. This afternoon I HAVE to have a lettuce salad because of my protime being off a little. My blood is getting too thin and I need some vitamin K to even everything out. I feel it is going to be a good day thanks to the inspirational post by Philmk.
When you decide to say no to a craving it makes you feel empowered, like I can do this and win. More bowling tonight, on my women's league. Monday should be an excellent weigh-in day.

You are committed to doing this and this is what I like about you. Your mind is set! It gives me the strength to do better in my day to day decisions, too. Only thing I might suggest is bringing along a little bag of protein snacks to see you through any hunger when away from home. That is what helped me the other day when I was in the hospital waiting room for 3 hours waiting on my hubby who was having a stress test. I carried a bag of Brazil nuts. They might not be on Atkins, though.

Thank you for the shout out! I'm really proud of how hard you're fighting, it's tough and sometimes it feels like the hunger monster just might win, when times are like that throw a handful of almonds at it and see if that helps. I believe in tackling everything head on, perhaps that my Taurus nature, but it seems to be working in beating this diet thing. :)
