Almost three months later and I'm still not on track.

Baby still doesn't sleep through the night. This past week, he woke up at least every 2 hours. Nothing wrong with him....just fear of missing out.

I'm still breastfeeding. I thought that stuff was supposed to make you lose all sorts of weight. BAH. Didn't happen. I have to take in extra calories or production drops quick. It is a balancing act that I'm pretty much failing at. Am I wrong for praying that baby will be 6 months soon and I can start him on solids? I hear they sleep better once they start cereal.

Since strict dieting and calorie cutting counter milk production, this old cow is just trying to watch what I eat. I really really really need to give up soda pop. I have no idea why I started back on it. Didn't drink it when I was pregnant. Didn't drink it before pregnancy. Post-pregnancy, I want a coke in the morning, at lunch and at night. BUT, today is Day 2 of no soda pop. I've made it a full 24 hours. It isn't much, but I'm going to submit that is a 360 calorie saving. In ten days, I may lose a pound if I don't end up substituting this jar of macadamias/almond/cashews for my missing soda.

You can drink unsweetened tea instead or soda. It has no cals, doesn't taste as good but is far more healthier and is not just plain water.

Hey! Breastfeeding does require those extra calories, if I were you I would focus on quality instead of quantity. Drop the pop, pick up more fruit. Better for you and the baby. Cutting cal isn't going to happen right now but you can control what you eat and your activity, focus on that. I hope he sleeps for you soon. My son was forever before he slept through the night, I feel your exhausting pain. Happy to hear from you :)

It's tough and beyond exhausting but it DOES get easier. Sleep when you can and dont worry about calories yet, just go for quality instead of quantity like Yolanda said. Be careful of caffeine, its dehydrating and can keep the baby up too. I learned that little bit of wisdom by experience lol. Congrats on the wee one.
