Sounds like you know exactly where you're heading. GI is a good place to start. It's startling that bread is digested and spikes blood sugar faster than refined sugar does. Your family will see a lot of differences, and being 'the kitchenbabe' as your bio says, you should be able to keep it interesting.

I thought of that but my knees are very badly damaged and steps/climbing hurts SO much. It's another reason I want to lose as much weight as I can, safely, because that will surely help, and when I have knee replacements (a certainty at some point) there will be less weight to stress new joints.
