These last few pounds are so frustrating!!! Fatsecret is sending me email reminding me to weigh in since it has been two weeks. This morning the scale says 162.6 (up .4) and I just want to scream. I had been thinking about lowering my goal weight but I'm not sure I have the fortitude. *sigh*

I remember in my younger years if I didn't eat enough the weight just fell off me. Now, being older it's more of a strategy game where someone keeps changing the rules. Hang in there. I have had weeks where nothing moved and then whoosh it gets going again. Like I hit 123 and then nothing for weeks. If it goes more than a couple of weeks I check my menu - and make changes. Also, funny thing is if I quit exercising for a 3-4 days, sometimes that actually helps too. It can be really frustrating though, I agree.

Thanks, Ruby. I have been between 162-165 since May with a goal of 155. I'd kinda like to go to 145 but argh! At the moment that just seems like setting myself up for frustration. 162 is one of my body's set points and I know this, it is what I weighed for much of the 90s. And I know I am eating like this for life. But I'd like to be on maintenance instead of OWL.

I agree with Pixi. Maybe you need to change something. I know it can be scary, especially when you don't know what to change. Up protein, up carbs, lower cals, up cals, etc...... But I do think your body is just settling in comfort. Confuse it. Show it who the boss is. It'll happen. And I cannot wait to see that for you.

I understand. Those set points can be such a royal pain to get past! ♥

If you change something be prepared for a bit of a weight increase,BUT it is temporary. Maybe change your exercise. I would assume the .4 is just a blip, maybe introduce a new food, or up the water intake or something. It is really hard to say. You also said you know this is a set point, eventually your body will give and yell uncle in the mean time just try to ignore the scale.

Thanks for the great suggestions. It is hard not knowing what to change. But I will think about it!
