Ok so someone out there please explain these things to me. What is it with women. Went shopping, wife got new dress, shoes etc took about 30 mins, then went to the card factory and spent 40 minutes looking for Christmas cards - something a little wrong there. The she said just got to pop into Primark for some work socks, 1 hour 20 minutes and £130 later left, they have got to be the dearest pair of socks I have ever seen, almost as costly as smettering 34s wellies ha ha. So what is it with women and Primark???? Do all women go daft in there?? So instead of socks, bought lots of daft Christmas stocking fillers. Then dragged to British Home Stores for more Christmas stuff (at the beginning nobody mentioned Christmas shopping). So we left home at 10.30 got back to the car 3 oclock and then my wifes says would I like to get something so she allocated me a whole 30 mins to find something that I liked, after being like a pack mule for the last few hours I declined the invitation. Liverpool beating Chelsea 3- 1 cheered me up Happy days are here again. Jo2 don't mind a bit of House, the last one I bought was Minestry of Sound best of house 3. My band of 2013/14 was Sewdish House Mafia before the split

if she had mentioned Christmas shopping you may have found any excuse so we woman have to be sneaky , and don't get too excited about Liverpool beating Chelsea as a team of 8 year old girls could at the moment

I think I would have a hard time spending £130 in Primark!

@jensamjen - now that wasnt nice was it and who do you support then?????? Actually I am one of the few weird guys, I quite enjoy shopping and according to my wife and my 20 year old daughter I have very good taste in clothes and they often take me to help them pick something I just find it strange spending 40 mins in a card shop especially when buying a card for a 1 year who cant read yet - that I don't understand

for heidji - well its starts off look they are only a couple of pound and ohhh look at that only 5 pound, it soon adds up when you have a full basket. I suppose in my wifes defense she was buying stocking fillers for 3 grandkids and 3 kids (even though the oldest is 20) and there partners so it does add up quickly. The dress was from top shop

Good for you on enjoying shopping, and even better if you have good taste! Regarding cards for 1-year-olds, I sometimes think it's the trivial decisions that take longest to make. With bigger decisions, the factors weigh more heavily, so they can be easier to make.

Sounds like you are dearly suffering, not. LOL. I am a bahumbug and stopped writing x-mas cards over 20 years ago. My excuse is that the trees need saving ;). As for presents.....I give when I feel like it, not when the calender and the media tells me too. But then again, I am weird and proud to be so.

I send ecards, and don't give presents, principally because I don't want to receive any!

I enjoy all the lead up to Christmas, the glitter, the songs etc. but Christmas is over by 10 oclcok 25th. I don't believe in spending a fortune I like buying really daft things that I can connect to the person I am buying it for. To me it is about the thought process anybody can go into a shop and throw down a wad of cash but to find something that costs a fiver and connect it to them can be a lot harder, that's why I like secret santas. I am quite lucky with my kids, they have never got up at 4 in the morning and been daft (they would have been sent back to bed) Sorry to disappoint you butterfly but you not weird at all, a present is given for a reason not because its that time of year, well except for easter and then its as many easter eggs as you can give me ha ha
