Diea's Journal, 12 October 2015

I am so angry at this number right now. I've been working out every week, and people have told me that I look healthier and better. This number does not reflect my progress at all.

I still have my 100 pound weight loss goal in mind, so this number is really a hamper in my journey. There's so many reasons that explain this: incredible stress due to grad school is at the very top.

This is not a good way to start another stressful day. :/ I need to relax.
160.0 lb Lost so far: 67.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.5 lb a week

sounds like that number reflects you gaining muscle which is a wonderful thing. it usually takes people time to notice change so if people are already commenting then you are doing better than your giving yourself credit for. take a deep breath and know that you are doing really well. keep striving!!!

Because you probably do look healthier and probably leaner. The scale does not reflect muscle gain, muscle loss, fat gain, or fat loss. But the mirror does. Scale will fluctuate up and down as you continue your journey. Do not discouraged young lady. Keep pushing towards your goal.

So many things can effect our weight. Stress is one of them. I've been working 2 jobs, going to school and caring for my family. It's hard. But you seem to be doing great. Look how far you have come. Be proud. Live you life and keep going. Stay on plan and keep going. The scale will eventually start moving down again.

Oh my God. Your comments are happy and full ff soulful honesty. They bring me up. Thank you all for saying that. It helps me. I get negative sometimes, so even if I read about this before at some point in my journey it really helps to hear about these things. We all need motivation, and I know I do right now. Blessings!
