I do very well sticking to what I feel I should eat, or not eat. No problems. But I do feel I'm addicted to coffee, hardest thing for me to cut back on. I was drinking it with heavy cream, then went to half & half. Now black. Sometimes I put a tiny amount of Stevia in it. I grow my own Stevia, planning on making some liquid Stevia. I've read where caffeine will help you, also that it may harm you. I've seen where it's recommended not to drink it after 2pm because it may affect your sleep. I drink it sometimes at supper ( 5pm to 7pm, varies ) and usually have 2 or 3 cups a day. Mainly I only drink coffee and water. I think I'm just going to stay with my coffee, as well as water, it seems to help me. Any thoughts?

I've heard/read that the water in coffee can count towards your daily water intake because the hydrating effects of the water more than offset the caffeine . . . though I'm not recommending that coffee serve as your 'primary source' of H2O.

Just like anything in this world today , one day its good the next day its bad,, who the hell knows . If its not affecting your sleep,, don't worry about it . I love coffee but I can only drink it in the Morning and I drink it wit heavy cream .

Yes, I decided to grow my own Stevia a couple years ago. Not quite as sweet as store bought, but a 1/4 tsp sweetens my coffee very well. After drying the leaves I grind them in a coffee grinder to a very fine powder. Planning on making some liquid this week. Coffee is not my main source of H2O, I drink at least 64 ozs of water daily, everyday. I met a Chinese lady, about 5 years ago & she drank nothing but water & an occasional cup of tea. She told me I should just drink water instead of soft drinks, I'd feel better. I listened to her & she was right.

Don't give up on coffee. It makes life worth living. And the real cream, too; it's only a few more calories than half and half. Cut calories other ways. That's my philosophy, and I've been successfully dieting for over 20 minutes so far.
