Peaches_'s Journal, 10 September 2015

What can I say, this a completely new low- or, high, rather. I've never been it such a high weight in my life and I honestly couldn't believe it when I randomly decided to step on the scale the other day. I still have a hard time believing it now. I know I've gained weight, and it's noticeable, but definitely not 209 pounds noticeable. It's embarrassing to even tell anyone I know about this.

Not really sure where to even begin.

The same way you eat an elephant "one bite at a time." I started by simply RIGOROUSLY tracking what I was eating here on Fatsecret. Seeing it in black & white really helped me monitor myself & cut back in certain areas. The next thing I did was I put walking breaks on my calendar at work. Co-worker & I would walk outside (or in the exercise room at work) for our am & pm 15-minute breaks. Stepping away from our desks has actually made us more productive. It's been slow but I've dropped about 10 pounds so far this year. A pound a month isn't the rate I'd WISH to lose weight but at least it isn't GAINING. You can do it! I KNOW you can!

The important thing is just to start somewhere, make a change no matter how small it might be, follow up with more changes on top of it as you can. Over time they add up and day by day things get going back in the direction you want them to go. It's not a race, but a journey through life. Just work on getting back on the path you want and need to be on, you can do it!
