Doing well on the diet, plan to go for a walk this evening. There was voting today in my city ward for a council seat, and it is very hotly contested for some reason, as I'm sure our future race for mayor will be too as our long-term mayor is getting a better job. These jobs don't pay much but sure seem to be good on a resume for one's future - the councilor who did the ward before resigned over some nonsense and I was told got promoted at work big time so didn't have the time for it any longer. Dieting is going well. Tomorrow I will do laundry and maybe shop or perhaps will do that on Thursday. I have to go pick up eyeglasses for reading and TV viewing this week too. Book 2 is coming along so well... hope everyone is enjoying summer...

Tonight I had vegetables and will probably cook some more later. I am a summer person, as long as it's not above 95* and humid. Cool breezes here today, storms far off to the northeast of here - we got no rain. My pepper plants are doing great and were so cheap too. The tomatoes are taking their sweet time. At least vegetables will be cheap for the next few months...
