MightyFull's Journal, 29 June 2015

As my meeting approaches with the boss about the upcoming project -- my anxiety increases. Last night I was exhausted, but stayed up watching a movie until I decided to update our latest trip photos. Ended up staying up to nearly midnight. Then tossed and turned and ground/clenched my teeth probably most of the night. Just stressed out like a crazed monkey. You would think as much walking as I got in this weekend, I would be good. Apparently not.

Today, I start back to the plan. This past weekend wasn't bad -- still need to update on my manual food journal and this one. :) -- I bring out the manual journal when I need it. it's in additon to the FS one. It can be more IN YOUR FACE and it's on my desk, so I can't really avoid it!

Arrowhead Mills brown rice puff cereal is yummy. First bowl of it today. (Found on Amazon, as it's not really found around the usual places we shop).

Lovie was a little clingy after being left overnight one night. We've got a work week coming up to pull both of us away for 7 days. I'm flipping out a little about leaving her boarded that long, but caretaker assures me it is not unusual. I'd like to take a little time off during the month of July to allow her a few extra days to be boarded vs the whole week -- kind of transitioning her (or me). What do you think?

I can empathize.....your Sunday sounds like mine used to when I worked as a negotiator and was constantly beat up by the supplier's attorneys (who billed by the hour, so they were paid to say, 'no, no, no' during our negotiations). As the weekend wound down, and Monday approached, I would get more anxious. The anxiety usually ended in an eating session and a restless sleep. You mentioned your 'manual' food journal. Do you have a smartphone? Fat Secret has an app that works great on your phone and saves you time journaling. Using the online journal does not preclude you from keeping in the 'community' in the Fat Secret online application. I have four dogs and can understand your concern about boarding. Before I retired, I traveled extensively and worried about my 'fur babies' constantly. I don't know if it's an option for you.....but I finally located a 'furry godmother' who agreed to stay with the 'babies' at home while I was away. This seemed to be a great situation, as the dogs felt completely comfortable in their own environment and I did not have to think about them as 'caged'. There are lots of good online recommendations for baby sitters (including dogs). Good luck!
