Rowanfair's Journal, 18 July 2011

Bah, it has been awhile since I tempted myself my forgetting that it is Monday and walking into the break room at work. During the first 17-1/2 of the years I worked here I skipped breakfast on Monday and ate the amazing pastries that my office provides. I'm not someone who likes the really gooey stuff - I usually had a slice of cinnamon bread and a rugalach. But waaaay more carbs than my current WoE could entertain.

But the smell of the cinnamon is such a snare of memory. I wonder if cinnamon cauliflower would taste good? Cauliflower, heavy cream, splenda and cinnamon? Maybe chilled so it would be more desert-like? My husband can't eat cinnamon so it isn't something I use at home, maybe another reason why the pastries were/are such a draw. But I have a head of cauliflower at home to steam, so I may just try this.
