ckworksalot's Journal, 13 April 2015

Well, never thought I would be making this post after all the success I have had since Jan 2014. Thought I was having recurring reflux over the last couple of months, primarily due to the poor food intake associated with living in hospitals and rehab centers with my mom in law. Finally went to ER with chest discomfort Mar 30, thinking they would diagnose reflux. Family history warrented echo stress test... ABNORMAL... on to heart cathe... BLOCKAGES... unstint-able. Completed 5 way bypass surgery on Apr 3, and came home Apr 8.

The Good news... I am alive and healing well. Doc says I would not be recovering so well had I not lost almost 70 lbs. I had 100/90/70/50/50 % blockages. Doc says my heart has been starving for blood for sometime, probably before I started my weightloss. So with new bypasses I should be able to run a marathon now!
198.0 lb Lost so far: 62.0 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 13 April 2015:
1110 kcal Fat: 32.13g | Prot: 29.74g | Carb: 186.70g.   Breakfast: Kirkland Signature Clover Honey, Quaker Old Fashioned Oats, Cinnamon, Sun-Maid Natural California Raisins. Lunch: 100% Whole Wheat Cracker, Wholly Guacamole Wholly Guacamole Minis. Dinner: Strawberries, Good Foods Group Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad, Kirkland Signature Butter Croissants. Snacks/Other: Grapes. more...

Wow! It's a good thing you were checked out!! Glad to hear your healing well. Your story is good for people to hear. So many people diagnose their symptoms incorrectly ~ your story should be a wake up call.
