Greeneyes007's Journal, 31 January 2015

I will readily admit that I have been snacking more then usual and eating unhealthy carbs that I didn't put in my food journal. Taking care of my Mother who is now total care and who we just had a hospital bed delivered to the house for because she can't get out of bed, adds a lot of stress. Knowing that my body is going to hold onto fat while in a stressful situation, should have kept me from eating unhealthy stuff. Obviously it didn't. Hopefully I can be stronger in the weeks to come regarding snacking.
Hope all of you have a great weekend.

There are bound to be ups and downs for everyone. I have given in and bought a bottle of wine to share with the Hubby as my day has been very busy and stressed at work so I have weakened. So I will have to work harder tomorrow. Think positive and you will get results.

Give yourself a break, life happens to all of us, just as long as you get back to it and don't use it as an excuse to stop, You are doing so well

Happens to all of us, Honey, you're not alone. Good and bad things are a part of life and always will be. I have recently learned to just power thru, keep plugging, left, right, left, and not feed my emotions food or alcohol. The more I do this, the less I feel the need to. We are all human, it's going to happen sometimes, but the less the better as we move toward, and reach our goals. It's a great skill to learn in order to maintain. Will keep you and your Mom in my thoughts and prayers. xoxo

Me too! I'm an emotional eater. Also, I frequently get hunger pangs even though I shouldn't be hungry. :/

We talked a few weeks a go, how hard it is and how we had some thing in common taking care of a a parent with complications my mother dealt with cancer, dementia, diabetes and loss her eye sight so I know some of what your going through, it is real hard to deal with some times. Were here to listen and I think you’re a wonderful person and caring you have the strength to do any thing. Alzheimer’s that your mother has is it early-onset if so ask your doctor if adding Turmeric root to her diet will help, it has a ton of health benefits ,and just reading your blog you talk about stress and cheating on your diet, do to what you are dealing with taken care of your mother, something you might want to try is a supplement called FORSKOLIN this will curve cravings and helps with your stress. This has worked for me, I use both Turmeric and Forskolin at 500 mg. per day. The Turmeric I use in cooking, eggs, veggies, smoothies in things like that it is simple and it works, Look it up and see if this might help you. Remember this God Loves you, and you are an ANGLE for taking care of you mother, She knows you love her. I feel it through your blogs.

Thank you One Dev I will try Forskolin. My Mother unfortunately is in the last stage of Alzheimers. There is no medications or supplement that slows down Alzheimers, there are just meds that help with the side effects. So when you see commercials about the Exelon patch and things like that, they help with the depression and mood swings that come with Alzheimers.
