Hi Katsolo, How great it is to walk out the door and pick breakfast or snack right off the tree. And they're in their own package already! 

@livinbreezy, here's the secret. when there's a reasonable number like this, it's great. when you have multiple blooms and get 300 bananas at a time, you have to scramble to give them all away. one year I managed to give away half and freeze about 100 of them. made for a crazy couple of days.  

I know it could be really crazy at the time, but I do really miss it. Weird, huh? 

Oh no. I have a love/hate with a lot of things here. 😂 Despite all the glamorous pictures of SoCal, fruit attracts vermin. So you have to deal with it promptly. Or else you have to deal with more unpleasant things. And it doesn’t matter if you live in San Diego or Beverly Hills. 

I’ve never seen a banana bloom before, it looks super! Thank you for sharing these and the interesting context, Katsolo.

Oh my! 😁 ❤️ ❤️ Kat, these are amazing! Plums, pears, cherries, apples are pretty common here, but a banana or citrus fruit is fantastic... I can't even imagine! Thank you for sharing your pictures! Enjoy the sunshine for me today!!!!

Yup. It’s tall, but not actually a tree. I have ten in my stand, but generally one or two give fruit at any time.

Katslo, Next time you have too many ripe bananas, try making 1 Ingredient Banana Ice Cream, and put back in freezer. Delicious & easy. I add chopped walnuts & sometimes vanilla or rum flavouring.
