SO.... I have been trying to walk 30-45 mins a day since daylight savings kicked in... between weather and late work nights... I am getting 3-4 days in per week.
BUT here's my question... all of a sudden... my appetite is RAGING.. where I had been pretty content with my portions...now it's not enough.
I am trying to eat when hungry... on program of course.
Just putting this out there... is that to be expected/normal?
The weight isn't really showing the efforts...but it has awakened the sleeping giant of my hunger for the first time in a long while.
When you started ramping up exercise...did you experience the same?

going thru the same thing. been walking 5 miles almost every other day for the past 2 weeks and man, oh man, am i hungry! i've only lost 1 lb the past few weeks but i guess being more hungry is normal. just need to add another snack and more water - seems to help.

How are you doing on your protein and fiber portions? That helps give you energy and stay full longer when you are working out more. Mel

Since you are burning more, you will be hungry, things should level off. Its a good idea to eat some protein before your walk. When I walked early morning I had a string cheese or some nuts before I walked then came back and had my breakfast. When I do elliptical, I time it so I get done when I would normally have a snack, then have a protein drink. Then would hold me a couple of hours then have a meal. Congrats on the exercise, it makes you feel so much better!
