I lost about 25 lbs in about 5 months using fatsecret. I don't really diet, I still eat everything I like. To me the key to a slow and healthy weight loss is to make sure I burn 100-200 calories a day more than I consume. Enjoy the party and the wine. ;o)

I'm with Dsinopoli... slow and steady as she goes. It's a lifestyle change, NOT a diet... Diets ALWAYS fail, lifestyle changes do not... Tip one for me on Saturday...

sorry all...i shouldnt have used that word everyone is so scared of 'diet'....i watch what i eat and get to where i am comfortable and then i slip off - i never get more than 10-12lbs off my goal weight so i guess i call it DIETING as i am not eating whatever I want, i make more concientious choices. I made a major change in my diet that has caused a serious spike in weight (6lb to me is a serious spike)...it was adding almond butter - which in itself is FABULOUS for you but when you eat it over the top like i was...well, you gain weight. So this is me getting cognizant of what i am piling in my mouth. Diets per se do fail and is precisely why people that lose 50lbs quickly also gain it back rather quickly. Not to worry all...i wont be starving, lol.

DIET is just a word that means what one eats. It's the social standards we establish and allow into our lives that present to us what is good and what is bad. I say screw it! If I'm not happy how I feel today I'll do something different tomorrow. That's not procrastination. That's just steering the course through this funny little thing called life. I used to beat myself up because I missed this routine today or ate that Whopper last night. But ya know what? We all have right here before us a fabulous resource for encouraging ourselves as well as others to seek that next hurdle. Whatever it may be. Every time I delve into this or that food or exercise one common theme always seems to surface...Roller Coasters. Well, I say don't fear the Rollers Coaster, it's got all the makin's to be one helluva ride. So tip one for me too. (And I don't even drink). And we're all right here for ya. Everybody....Cheers! :-)

Axevus star....awesome perspective and I agree. I just change what isnt working for me. Sometimes my diet is really fabulous and other times I just lose focus. Thanks for that :)
