I actually got up and hit the gym. a lil later than usual but i made it. Here's a question to anyone with any advice. My shoulder is flaring up, my debate is whether to start lifting lighter weights with higher reps or quit lifting for a few weeks and just do cardio while i heal up some.

Ice pack your shoulder - alternate with heat pack if it is bad. Do this until swelling goes down or for about 1 hour and this should also relieve pain. Take a Tylenol if it persists beyond the initial hour. If pain is persisting beyond 3hrs... or if it is a sharp pain, maybe you tore something - you will know as your motion will be affected. In which case seek a doctor. You do not have to quit doing what you are doing if you do not have a tear or serious injury...just lower the weight and the reps :)
