I like adzuki beans in many things. Sounds like they would be good instead of the black beans.

I have never tried adzuki. I definitely need to open up my bean repertoire. I think I may have to go online to find some new varieties.

Adzuki beans are also sold as small red beans, they have one small white spot on them. I've recently found them, mayo-coba and cranberry beans at Walmart (not somewhere I usually buy groceries), surprising because I have been buying them at ethnic markets and could not find cranberry beans anywhere. I was in Walmart for something one day and remembered I needed split peas, did not want to make an extra stop, saw them in with the beans.

Do they sell them dried or canned? I really try not to buy groceries at walmart, but I suppose they can't do too much to beans.

Dried.. I don't either but the day I discovered them, I figured dried split peas, was out of patience for stores. That doesn't take much for me LOL.

It was yummy I just don't recommend using black and green foods lol. Wholefoodnut I went by Walmart and saw all the beans they have there I couldn't believe their selection! I'm so excited thank you! I would have never looked there.

YW. Me either, grins. Just happened. My current favorite white ones are the Mexican mayo-coba. I need to be brave and see what else they have hiding. I usually escape from Walmart weird shoppers as fast as I can.
