I don't know if I'd call riding a bike for 2 miles head on into 15mph winds (give or take, normally considered a mild breeze for our neck of the woods) is considered liesurely, but I was definitely going less than 10mph, so that's what I put. My thighs were not happy. I've got to figure out how to do the back to school night thing with my daughter this afternoon, maybe get out for a walk, AND get in for a plasma donation. I have a feeling, if I want to do all three, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and walk after the donation, which means I will not be walking at my normal pace, and I will have to give myself some grace if I feel light headed. I will also have to take plenty of water with me.

I have not been doing well at staying away from red meat this week. But have kept the rest pretty well in check. There was only one brat left when I got home last night, so that's all I had, and had some fruit and fresh veggies to fill me the rest of the way up. My husband and step-son saved me from making the mistake of going for two of them, tasty as they were.

I have appointments galore this week, and imagine as we try to get other appointments taken care of before school, next week will be the same. Those really cut into my walking time over my lunch breaks at work. My daughter is considering doing volleyball this year which means she will need a sports physical, and all of my kiddos need to get in for an eye appointment. Yay.

So much for the liesurely Summer pace. Now it's back to running like crazy to make sure everyone gets to appointments and therapies and the like.
