Plateauing much? *Sigh* I have to keep at it. I thought for sure I would see at least a little loss today, but nope, I'm still right at the same number. At least it's not a gain, I suppose. I have lots of physical activity planned for the weekend, including some serious housework I need to catch up on. Maybe by Monday the scale will reflect it. The only other thing I can think is that maybe I am starting to build some of the muscle mass I've been hoping for, and that's why there's no movement. I FEEL slimmer, although I still don't like the more than an inch to pinch around the waist, and I won't talk about butts or thighs. I just won't go there right now. Every ounce I've lost I think has all been from the top half of my body, and I've gone all pear shaped. O.k. so maybe not every ounce, since obviously I am fitting into pants and undergarments I couldn't before.

I've been using the scale at work, but am hoping to get the battery replaced in my scale at home so I can go back to weighing in the nude, you know, not to be dirty or anything, but just so I can rule out different densities in fabrics and the like being responsible for any movement on the scale. It would also be good to weigh before having my morning coffee.

I'm tired, so I'm rambling this morning. I did my plasma donation last night after doing the back to school thing with my oldest daughter. (My other two kiddos have yet to do theirs.) I got home had a small plate (dessert plate size) of stroganoff, which of course means that's 4 days in a row eating red meat, but I was only at half my RDI on calories, and I figured having give 825 ml of plasma, it probably was not a good idea to leave my calorie intake so low. It's hard to describe the feeling I get after donating plasma. It's not woozy or dizzy, but I just feel like my body recognizes there's been an alteration in the blood chemistry, even though the saline solution they pump back into is meant to keep your volume up. My husband didn't think I should walk, but after sitting and eating, and giving everything a few minutes, I decided I didn't really want to miss going. I promised him I wouldn't push myself.

I felt fine until I got to the top of the last hill on my way back home, and that was when it started kicking my ass. Silly me, I didn't take my water bottle, but I did trim about 3 blocks off of my route, since I figured I'd done well to get out and do it at all, and it was getting dark. I had an entire 24 oz bottle of water, and topped my day out with Frozen Yogurt to put me at 90% of my RDI.

Today I have another appointment for kiddos, the last vaccination they have to receive until they are ready to go to college. Unfortunately for my daughter with Autism, today's appointment will likely involve me and several nurses restraining her to get the stick done. I hate having to get her vaccinated. It makes me feel like a monster. As to next week, it looks like I won't be inundated with appointments after all. The eye doctor does Saturday appointments, so I'll be able to get all three kiddos in on one visit, and I can walk over my lunch breaks next week. I'm pretty excited about that.

Anyway, if you've made it this far, and I didn't lose you in my rambling, have a great day, and whatever you do, enjoy yourself.
