So on my walk I did try jogging for a couple of short distances. I would say a total of 5 blocks split up. It's a start. I find I really struggle with my body image issues. I have been forcing myself to wear a tank top and yoga pants to exercise in, despite the fat upper arms that I despise so much, and the pooch in the front of my stomach. I am always convinced that people are disgusted by seeing me like this, and are laughing at me when I so akwardly run. But I am making myself do it anyway, and reminding myself that when i see a person jogging on the street, I see a person jogging, and chances are many of the people driving by are so concerned with where they are going, it's unlikely that they even notice anything more than what I notice, a person out for a walk/jog. I'm trying to retrain the way I think about myself, and get over being so damned self conscious.

Last night as I walked out of the house, one of the neighbor's children was in our yard playing with my kiddos, and she looked at my son and said, "It think your mom's pretty." It made my night.

Way to test the waters! Keep it up! I too feel rediculous when I run. Especially because I run so slow. But in reality. No body cares what you look like - they are too absorbed in whatever they are doing. So just keep pushing yourself... you just might turn into a runner :)
