I’ve come to realize that some people just don’t know how to love. They say it because that’s what people say. That’s what people do to keep people still. They don’t genuinely feel it inside of their heart. Love is kindness and understanding, listening and caring. Genuinely from the heart. It’s feeling pain when you have hurt and the eagerness, sometimes desperation, to heal it.

To love requires compassion and patience. It requires the want to love another, to feel that world of emotion and attentiveness. They may be ignorant but they are not victims. They are loved by those who will continue to stand there, begging for the love they inevitably will never receive. So why should they care to love?

Quit wasting time trying to figure out what is wrong with you. Realize too, sometimes.. it really is them. When you have love to give, choose to give it to those who will embrace it like a precious, priceless gift because that is what it is.

Great post... a former pastor of mine defined love this away "Seeing a NEED (a real need, not a want) and providing for that need!" Basically, it involves with everything that you have posted.. Love can be emotion, but it is more than that.. it is a commitment to another person.

I agree, great post. 1 Corinthians 13 is a wonderful example of perfect love and something to strive for, very hard if not impossible to achieve for us here on earth, but what a worthy goal.

Love others as you love yourself... How many of those described love themselves?!
