Whoo hoo, the bike is back on the road! A potential 32 miles today...

32 miles!! Have a new bike, I've maybe gotten 2 miles in....

Yeah, it's tough, but I have been gradually building up the miles. I guess I am fortunate that I can't really afford the train fare for the full commute, so while the sun is shining I am making the most of it (saving money and burning calories). Plus, there is a really good cycle path built on an old disused railway. :-)

Good for you. Nice that you have a good bike trail. I need to make time somehow to ride. I cannot fit everything into my life that I need and want to do. Goal is to ride the 50 mile Katy trail memorial day event next year. Riding 9 miles to work would be great part of the year and save money, the part of town I would have to ride through is not the safest. The bike trail that starts near my house is closed for the summer as they are doing something with big pipes through there. Not an excuse, there are streets. Hopefully August will be a calmer month.
