Well, I think I need to manage my food a little differently. I have cut my calories down and then when I lift weights, i gain back about 1-2 pounds, only to lose it again. It's kinda frustrating. I was hoping to lose more because I quit nursing. The last two times I nursed, I lost about 15 lbs doing nothing but quitting nursing. Getting older blows~lol~ not the same body any more!
At least I am enjoying my time at the gym. It helps that my baby is so good in the child watch. (^_^)

Working out causes the muslces to retains fluids to help the muscle heal itself (especially when lifting weights). In the short term, it is frutstrating (but only temporary). In the long term, building muscle will help your body burn more calories, make you look lean and strong, and get you into smaller sizes than someone who is not exercising. So measure youself so you see progress and remember that the scale is only one way to measure weight loss.
