What a week I have had! It honestly started off horribly with a phone call on Monday saying that my baby brother had been rushed into the hospital. Given his multiple diasablities my poor brain thought the worse. I had an absolute melt down and unfortunately could not even make it through the day at work. It was definately a snowball effect of thinking the worse case scenario. I truly thin I lost water weight simply by the amount of tears that I shed that day and well into the night.
Tuesday rolled into Wednesday which happens to be my weigh in day and my spirits were lifted a bit when I saw movement on the scale. It helps walking that extra hour everyday and the fact that I am on my feet for my entire 9hr shift at work.
However all the amazing news started rolling in on Friday the 13th of all days! My brother was released from the hospital and was doing so much better! Then I signed the paperwork at work that I am no longer temporary and am now a permanent employee. Which means I am eligible for benefits and sick days etc. Needless to say I was so happy the I was literally bouncing. Plus since Friday is my huge cheat day it all worked out so nicely. BUT like all cheat days today leads back to being careful. Which should be no problem as long as I stay away from my friend's place! Lol

I have so much to be grateful for:
My family
My brother recovering from his illness and the good care he received at the hospital.
My new permanent status at work
Supportive co-workers
Fat secret and the friendships I have developed from here.
Ability to work through the bad times to be able to enjoy the good ones.
Simple things that at one time were taken for granted but have new meaning now!

** thank you to anyone who reads this, my hope is that someone is able to be grateful for things in there own life either big or small **

To reach a goal you need to work at it! It's then that the reward is all the sweeter! :D
