do you ever make the black bean burgers. I use flax seed to hold it together. If done right, they taste pretty much like meat. now, I am a meat eater. but I went to all organic meat, and it is very expensive but I eat much less of it. I also raise my own eggs.Good luck with the veggie diet.

I love making black bean burgers! My husband hates them (he's difficult to cook for anyways) but oh well. Falafel style burgers with chickpeas are tasty too. We've been eating organic meat for awhile too, and it IS expensive! I suppose it's worth it. I'm so jealous that you raise chickens. We considered building a coop this year but decided the cost wasn't worth it since we rent our house. I hear chicken fertilizer is amazing.
