sarita-b's Journal, 10 March 2009

man, yesterday was not so good. was really snacky in the afternoon, and someone had defended their master's thesis so there were left over party goodies in the lunchroom. I really just shouldn't have gone in, but was curious and found cake and just about to go home I was really hungry. I had a small piece of cake and a handful of cheez-its, but still I had already planned my calories for the day. Then when I got home after going to the gym the roommate's boyfriend had just made up chocolate chip cookies, hot out of the oven totally wilted any will power. I need to get baked goods out of the house, I'm going through a phase where I've been craving baked goods and they've been around the house...so bad news insues....and my boyfriend works some days right by my favorite donut shop and has surprised me with my favorite--apple fritter both this week and last.

Any additional ideas on how to keep strong will-power with baked goods in the house? or how to let the boyfriend know that I love the surprises but don't want to eat apple fritters every week?

Hope all is well with all my FS friends!!! Good weeks to you all!

Since I'm not one to waste food, what I do is I pack them in my boyfriend's lunch so I don't eat them and they run out quicker. : ) Haha. Also, I gave up chips and peanut butter for Lent so that's extra motivation for me NOT to have that stuff. Otherwise I'd be indulging. We have a lot of that in the house. Basically you gotta get rid of it and explain to your boyfriend WHY. And let him know that you really love and appreciate his sweet gesture, but you shouldn't be having those fritters.

Personally, I make my roommate keep any "Bad" foods in her room. Out of sight, out of mind.
