goooood saturday morning everyone!!!im just wakin up..gonna go for a walk in an hour...30 here this morning, with a wind chill of 20...the sunshine is gone an they are talkin chances of snow...but only an inch or so...nice to be off today..an get rested back up..off for 2 days then headed back out to brians to work on another transmission on a truck...was reading an article yesterday afternoon that eating jalapenos, hot spices and things like that helped to speed up your metabolism...took mom to the store yesterday afternoon...an while we was walkin the aisles i was lookin at hot sauce, she was lookin at jalapenos ...we come home with the jalapenos ...i opened them up an tried one..yeah it had alittle kick, but not as much as i expected...she tried one an says..wow...them are hot...lol...so gonna be puttin them in my salads to eat at supper time to get one last huh of energy before bed time...hopefully get back on a routine of eating an exercising better the next couple of days..get back into the habit...was on the scales this morning weight is up, had my share an yours of salt yesterday...just couldnt get enough of it...so i had more then i needed...got 2 days to get it back down an under control again...so just gonna have to watch my salt intake closer for the next few days...well need to get up an movin an layer up once again...so i can get out an beatin my feet on the pavement...catch you all later...have a great day!!!!

I can eat a bit of hot sauce, but not the jalepenos. EEEK!!! You ought to try some Indian food sometime. They make their food so hot, flames shoot out my ears! My nephew always makes me a milder, seperate dish, but it is still too hot for me!

just got back from my morning walk ...took alot of gettin in the mood to go for one..but once i got layered up..did 3.5 miles..i was tired when i got home, but thats just cause i hadnt done one in several days...i use to not like hot spices either, but now eating something like that just seems to make me take smaller bites when i eat, makin the food last longer...making it easier to eat smaller portions as well...

You and Veggies Yuk are our veritable research Assistants whenever you read helpful articles - then share the info with us! Thanks so much! Eating spices to boost metabolism makes common sense to me. In a non-scientific way - I understand that the spices would sort of "wake up" the stomach! My taste buds are so simple that they "put me stomach to sleep." Have an awesome Saturday!
