adoptionrox143's Journal, 18 January 2011

I had Paul put the scales away. I will get them out on Sunday. It is stressful not seeing the weight. I know though that I am looking different. My stomach is not puffed out. I love doing the crunches. I really am feeling good. It will be nice to see the 180s, I think then I will really feel like I have done something. I was 193 when we adopted our son in May so when I get below that I will really be amazed.

I bought a 365 day Bible. Buying is the easy part. When I read the book Made to crave the purpose was not just to lose weight. It was to gain a stronger relationship with my Father. That is the ultimate goal, weightloss is great but that is not my main reason I am doing this. So 3 days ago I started reading it. Last night on our drive home I found myself actually craving it, wanting to read it asap. I couldnt wait to get home and dive in. Unfortunately, I was so exhausted when I got home I fell asleep before I could read it.

I am determined to make this a new lifestyle change a lasting one too not some fad. God is not a fad, He is my Father that I hardly know. I need to know Him.

Things I am grateful for

1- the hunger that only God can quench.

2- the good feelings I feel.

3- A Father who loves me for me, not for what I have done or what I will become.

4- my health

Goals and Rewards!

My under 200lbs goal was met and reward was manicure. Yay!

Next goal will be 10 lbs by Feb 11th. That will get me to 189 as long as I dont gain. Reward Manicure and Pedicure.

Be blessed

You remind me so much of myself! I too am trying to have a closer relationship with my Father God. Read from Ephesians last night. I felt like I was slipping in so many areas including my weight and I know God is always the answer no matter what the problem, even finances which I'm also struggling with since my divorce. I pray GGod shows u favor in all your endeavors and feel free to reach out to me if u would like to support one another. I plan to look for the book u mentioned if that's. Ok.
